Guild Wars 2: Leveling Crafting Above 400
Apparently all crafting in Guild Wars 2 will be expanded to level 500. Here's a bit about how it is supposed to work.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-07-16-guild-wars-2-crafting-rising-from-400-to-500
HOWEVER, right now apparently only the three weapon crafting professions go above 400 right now (October 2013). That's weapon smith, huntsman and artificer.

Where to find the various crafting materials. General locations, listed by material type.

Guild Wars 2: Trainer Locations
Trainers are difficult to find in GW2. Here's where profession and commander trainers can be found:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Trainer
Crafting trainers are called Master Craftsmen. They are listed by craft and then location here. Generally once you find one crafting trainer, the others in that location will be nearby. Remember, you have to choose "Please teach me" from the dialogues to be taught the craft. It isn't enough just to find the trainer for the craft you want to learn.

Crafting in Guild Wars 2 UPDATED
There are eight crafting professions in Guild Wars 2 (and 400 skills levels!). You can learn all the crafting professions, but can only have two disciplines active on a character at one time. You can gather materials for crafting by purchasing items, looting defeated foes' bodies, gathering certain raw materials, and salvaging materials after destroying items using a salvage kit. All this is covered in the GW2 wiki. Yes, it's complicated. This is the very best guide I've found.
http://gaiscioch.com/tavern/guildwars_crafting/post_35198.html
Here is what the official wiki says about crafting. The links are very useful for research.

This summarizes crafting and has explanations of how professions work crafting items.

UPDATE: Recipes are color coded in the production tab of your crafting UI. I am quoting the Production section in the link below as follows:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crafting
"The production tab shows all available recipes. The color of a recipe's name indicates how close the recipe is to your current discipline level. The colors are the same as for item quality, progressing from gold for recipes near your current level to green to dark blue to light blue to white to gray for recipes that no longer grant any crafting experience.

Red recipes appear when you are within five levels of the next 25-level interval, at which point they will automatically unlock.
The number after the recipe name indicates how many items you can craft using that recipe, based on the contents your inventory and collections."

Skyrim: How to Enchant, Craft Items and Use Alchemy
Basically, enchanting's a three step process. Disenchant an already enchanted item at an altar of enchanting, destroying it in the process. Fill a soul gem (these vary in quality). Enchant the new item with the soul gem, or recharge a depleted enchanted item with the soul gem.

Note that you have to know the particular type of enchantment spell you want to use.

Rift: Dailies UPDATED
Rift has daily quests but I'm having trouble finding information on them. Here is a bit about the Tier 1 and 2 daily quests, including where Defiant and Guardian players pick up the quests.

UPDATE: Rift Zone is building a quest database. It lists the dailies as well as other types of quests. It is a work in progress but helpful if you are looking for dailies.

Here is a list of the crafting dailies which are found in the main crafting areas of Meridian or Sanctum. They are listed by profession and show skill level, the reward and where to turn in the quest.

Rifts: Bags
Bags in Rift come in various sizes, with the largest bag having 22 slots (unless you bought your game via Steam and got a copy of the 24 slot Collector's Satchel). Here's the best source of information about which bags hold how much, sorted as to whether they are drops, craftable, whether there is a recipe for making it, etc.

Each profession has four skill levels--Novice (1-75?), Skilled (75-150?), Expert (150-225?), and Master (225-300?).
http://www.riftlevelingguide.com/game/professions/gathering/
Levels at which you can craft bags (from the forums--note I've not been able to confirm this information):

"Silken Bag is trained at level 180, and is 14 slots. Spellspun Bag is trained at Outfitter level 280, and is 18 slots. The pattern for Witchweave Bags can be bought from the Outfitter recipe vendor for 318 Artisan Marks, which should take about a week, possibly less, to get, and requires Outfitter 265. And finally there's Spiritweave Bags, epic quality 22-slot bags. The pattern is bought for 4 Outfitter Plaques, which I'm guessing are rewarded for Master rank daily profession quests."

Rift: Guides to the Crafting and Gathering Professions
There are two types of professions in Rift: crafting professions and gathering professions. Here is a general guide to them all with help leveling the professions. First up, gathering (butchery, foraging and mining).
