Guild Wars 2: Trainer Locations

Trainers are difficult to find in GW2.  Here's where profession and commander trainers can be found:

Crafting trainers are called Master Craftsmen.  They are listed by craft and then location here.  Generally once you find one crafting trainer, the others in that location will be nearby.  Remember, you have to choose "Please teach me" from the dialogues to be taught the craft.  It isn't enough just to find the trainer for the craft you want to learn.

Rift: Finding Trainers for Abilities

Once you move beyond the starter levels where trainers are close to the quest givers, trainers get hard to find.  The online Rift manual says larger towns and encampments are where the trainers are located, but this involves wandering around.  Turning trainers on in the mini map doesn't seem to place trainer icons on the large map or help find them.

I've found two lists of ability trainer locations.  Unfortunately they are just for the Cleric (first link) and Mage, and don't look like they are complete.

Telarapedia has a section for each Callings from which you can choose the Soul you are interested in, then scroll through the Soul to find the Abilities available for it.  The Abilities chart for each Soul (example:  Rogue Assassin, Rogue Nightblade, Warrior Paladin, etc.) explains what abilities are available for each and gives you information such as the cooldown, level you need to get this Ability, etc.  But there is not a trainer location list.

The Shattering Allows Renaming of Demon Minions (Warlocks)

Warlocks rejoice!  You can get the new demon trainers (located near the warlock trainers) to rename your minions.  It costs 50 gold per creature but at least you can rename them.  (Or just go get them killed, and summon a new one.)

Things No One Tells You

WOW Insider lists various things that stump players because they aren't well explained, things like how to drop a profession, how to find trainers, flight masters and mail boxes, how to evaluate items you could disenchant, and how to use trinkets in macros.

WOW Insider just posted an article that summarizes all aspects of training for new players.  There are links to lists of class trainer locations, hints on how to train dual specs, and information about riding, weapons and professions trainers.  This is a good reference article, up to date as of Patch 3.2.
