Here are the main attributes and how they apply to various classes.

Zam has started to compile a list of attributes, including the command to view them, with a description of what each attribute is and the points assigned to them.

Rift: Customizing Your UI and Controls UPDATED
The online Rift manual has a section about the UI (pp. 12-24) that explains your action bars, the various panels (character, guild, raid panels, etc.) and more.
http://www.riftgame.com/en/docs/RIFT_Manual_EN.pdf
However, the best overall UI explanation I've found is on This Is Not A Rift's website as it covers clearly how to customize your UI.
http://thisisnotarift.blogspot.com/2011/02/ui-how-to-change-it-what-you-can-change_16.html
This article covers camera controls, movement, interacting with objects, describes the maps, and goes into great detail about various combat actions that are exclusive to various classes.
http://rift.zam.com/wiki/Rift_101-_Gameplay_%28Rift%29
RiftLift.com is a site dedicated to customized UIs in the game.
http://riftlift.com/
They will allow folks registered on their site to submit their UIs to the site so others (you may have to register to download but this is not clear) can download it to a character. I believe Rift makes it easy to copy the UI you have set up for one character to your other characters.

UPDATE: Rift Junkies has posted a critique of the game interface.

Rift: Gathering and Crafting Professions Help
Need information about the professions? There are three gathering professions (butchery, foraging and mining) and six crafting professions (apothacary, armorsmithing, artificing, outfitting, runecrafting and weaponsmitthing). A character can choose up to three professions. Good explanations of all the professions are found here.
http://telarapedia.com/wiki/Profession
However, I think this explanation is clearer and covers all the crafting and gathering professions in a more comprehensive manner. It also shows the various crafting windows you'll use.
http://thisisnotarift.blogspot.com/2011/02/crafting-101.html
All about runecrafting, from trainers to upgrading components, runebreaking and transforming components.

Here's a list of runecrafting recipes.

Mining trainers, recipes and ores are listed here.

Rift: Wikis
Besides the official Rift website (www.riftgame.com), there are several other Rift resources that may be worth bookmarking:
Rift Junkies seems to have maps and dungeon walkthroughs already. This site is packed with information, making it hard to navigate. Click on the tabs at the top under the header (especially Guides) for help finding things. You can also use the search box at the upper left corner.
http://www.riftjunkies.com/
Telarapedia wants to be your one stop Rift encyclopedia. There are videos and a navigation column on the left to help you find what you want. This site has great potential as it seems organized and the articles I've read are well written.
http://telarapedia.com/wiki/Rift
Rift Kingdom is an IGN-hosted site so you'll see lots of ads and contests here, but the home page is a great place to catch up on current Rift news. Right now the news is all about the servers. However, the home page has links to the Wiki (second link below) and the Guides sections (third link) which has a lot of information. Note if you click on something in the Guides section (Paladins, for example), you often get a blank page. This is a work in progress but IGN has the resources and writers to make this something worth keeping an eye on.
http://rift.ign.com/
http://rift.ign.com/wiki/Rift_Wiki
http://rift.ign.com/wiki/Category:Guides
Rift Kingdom's Beginners Guide is very helpful when you are choosing the race you will play.
http://rift.ign.com/wiki/Beginners_Guide
Rift Wiki has an interesting graphic organizational style that may be easier for some folks to navigate.

Rift: Macros and Slash Commands UPDATED
While looking for Rift wikis and other resources, I stumbled across these listings of macros and slash commands for the game.
http://www.riftjunkies.com/2011/02/24/macros-and-slash-commands/
UPDATE: H pointed out this good basic guide to macros, which folks who haven't used them before will find helpful. There's a link to another list of slash commands in the article. Thanks for the tip, H.
http://www.riftlevelingguide.com/game/user-interface/macros/
UPDATE #2: Through Sir Robin I discovered another good explanation of slash commands and building macros from them. Commands are grouped as to whether you use them in combat, to control a pet, etc.
http://www.tentonhammer.com/rift/guides/commands
UPDATE #3: Extensive list of slash commands which are called "macros" by the author.
http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=154679&TabID=1311920&ForumID=1879402&TopicID=9539260
To quote Sir Robin, "Basically keybinding lets you bind one ability to one button. With Macros you can bind multiple abilities to one button."
http://forums.riftgame.com/showthread.php?113711-47-DPS-Warrior-Champ-Para-Rift-w-Screenshots-Parses/page7

Rift Servers, Forum and Wiki
With Rift already in play for those who pre-ordered (and at least a million registered accounts), it's time to add Rift information here.
Here is the list of servers. Note that the EU servers are further broken down into French, German and English language. The official server list is on Rift's Facebook account.
http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/95705
Want to choose the right server? The Rift forums have "Shard" forums for players on each server. Note that each server is further broken down into the two factions. As far as I can find out, one can't play both factions on the same server (but this isn't certain).
http://forums.riftgame.com/forumdisplay.php?70-Server-Forums
While looking for server information, I discovered IGN's nice Rift wiki.

Interesting Game Things
This video shows high school students interviewing Gabe Newell of Valve, courtesy of Kotaku. Bet you didn't know Team Fortress 2 was a test lab for their online gaming business....
Curious about the indie games that pour onto xBox Live? This site is buying, playing and reviewing a game a day, trying to find the hidden gems.
Here are a few reviews to whet your appetite.
