Houses and Inventory Storage in Elder Scrolls Online

Elder Scrolls Online allows players to have houses which you can decorate and use, and you can store inventory there, but only after you have the Dragon Bones DLC pack* which introduced housing storage.

More about houses and their limits can be found in the link below.  For example, free inn rooms you get by completing a quest allow you to store 15 furnishing, apartments allow you to store 50 furnishings, small houses will hold 100 furnishing, medium homes store 200 furnishings, and large homes allow 300 furnishings.  If you have an ESO Plus account, the storage limit doubles.

This link describes how storage works in the housing and where to get coffers and chests.  Basically you can buy a maximum of four coffers with 30 slots each and a maximum of four chests with 60 slots each.   I cannot find out if you can have 8 storage containers per house or if it is per character, however.  All chests look alike and all coffers look alike but you can name each so you know what's stored inside.  Note that "Unlike bank storage, ingredients stored in chests and coffers will not be used when crafting, and stored equipment will not appear in deconstruction, research, or upgrade windows at Crafting Stations."

Kingdom of Amalur: Inventory Bug

A lot of folks are finding items in their inventory (often an armor set but occasionally individual or quest items) that are stuck.  They can't be removed, junked, destroyed, put in stash, etc.  Essentially they lock up those inventory slots.  I've found this that says the developers are planning a patch to fix quest problems and bugs like this but there's no date on when it will appear other than "the next couple of weeks."

Kingdom of Amalur Inventory System, Carry Weight, Storage Boxes, Houses

There's a bit of information on how things stack in your inventory in the link below.  Note some vendors sell backpacks that allow you to carry more items. Apparently you can find them in most of the cities early in the game (but there is an article with a list of backpack vendors). I've previously posted about quests that give you a house for storage as a quest reward.

It is possible that once you have a house as the result of a quest and buy upgrades to the house, some increased inventory space is part of the upgrade to the house.  I have no idea how/if this works, though.  Here is a bit about the A Tangled Web side mission that unlocks a residence in Canneroc called Gossamar End, which is in Webwood somewhere. read both links.  See the article here called How To Buy A House for more detailed information.  Basically, you either get the key off the body of Barten or get it from him when you return to the town with him.  Then buy the upgrades from the blacksmith Billus Aldeth (spelling?).

To put things in your new chest (there just seems to be one and the spider that is supposed to be in the house doesn't seem to be there, just webs), use the letter R to select items, then left click with the mouse button to put things in your chest one by one.  There is a limit to the number of items that will fit.  If you are wearing something, you have to remove it before putting it in the chest.  Things are not organized when in the storage chest apparently.  They don't seem to be organized alphabetically or by type anyway.

Skyrim: Unlimited Carry Weight UPDATED

Neoseeker is posting cheats and tips, so when The Solo MMO Player wanted to know how to carry more weight in his inventory, I found this posting by Machienzo.

Machienzo says, "This can only be done through the 'Command Mode'. By commanding your companion to 'Pick Up' stuff that you've left on the ground, you can tell them to pick up an unlimited number of items. It has to be through this way, otherwise they will end up being over-encumbered."

UPDATE:  A video explaining how to use increase carry weight using the console commands in the PC version of the game.  You access the console command using the tilde key ~ on your PC keyboard.  The Solo MMO Player tested this and it works (for now).

Bag Management
